BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS...

I am not going to be posting for a while (I know, no news about that!)  But I have just lost my sweet loving husband in an accident.  He was helping with a float for our car club in our little town's "Truckers Light Parade", he fell and hit his head on the cement floor of our friend's shop.  Rushed to the hospital, where doctors operated as he had a cerebriel hematoma.  After surgery, his blood pressure dropped and the doctors couldn't get it back up in time; he passed away on December 11th.  Then the news about the children & teachers in Connecticut,  it's just too much!  So please pray, it's what we all need right now.  Only the Lord can bring peace.  Thank you all for your prayers.  Hopefully I will get back to you in the spring....And have a blessed Christmas and New Year.
Love,
Marilyn

OUR SUMMER VACATION, PART 2

Roger and all his buddy's from Disney

Sometimes it's just fun to do what your husband wants to do, even though we may have other ideas in mind. My honey got a call from an old friend who was throwing an 80th birthday party for one of their mutual friends from work. I wanted to take another camping trip! But when we get to our age, sometimes the "old friends" are few, and going camping can always wait!  So this past summer we took a trip to Surprise, Arizona to attend the birthday party. Needless to say we flew there, as you can see in the photos! What nice friends I met there and they also invited us over for a Mexican breakfast at their home. We had a few extra days, rented a car and also drove to Sedona and into Prescott.  We had a wonderful time and I am so glad we went.

Needless to say, we DID take that camping trip!  Our car club has a CAMPOUT once a year.  So this year after we returned from Arizona we packed the trailer and high-tailed it to Odell Lake in Central Oregon, in the Cascade Mountain Range.  We all stayed four days, had a Friday night cocktails and appetisers, and a Saturday night pot-luck.  Ate way too much!  Played a lot of card games and just sat around and enjoyed the company.

We did a lot and had lots of company this past summer.  Our friends from Washington are coming here for Thanksgiving, and all of us are having the dinner at my sister's home in Bend.  Then Christmas will be here - way too soon!  But I am so excited that my daughter and her family will be here for Jesus' Birthday!  They haven't been here to visit in almost two years!

So bless you all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

XOXO

JUST RANTING!

REMEMBER BENGAZI
A little over HALF of American voters made their choice today.  It wasn't a landslide by any means!  And I sure wish it had gone the other way.  But, if this is what America wants, this is what we will get.  In four years, when our country is in debt about twice what it is now (16 TRILLION), at least they cannot blame the Republicans for getting us into the mess.  We all (well maybe not all!) watched as Greece went ballistic when their people didn't get their "freebies" - just think what will happen here.  And we are in debt probably 10 times worse then Greece was - and Germany will not be bailing us out.  Maybe China?  HA!  They already OWN us!  How did this man, who literally had zero experience get into the highest position of our country?  You decide.  Oh yeah, we already did!
I'm sorry, just ranting!  The wonderful thing about America has always been that we can voice our opinions.  At least we can now, who knows about the future?
I'm sorry if I have offended anyone; but I have to get these feelings off my chest tonight.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day and maybe now we will be keeping our eyes on the Lord, and not to our own understanding.  Please pray for our country.

Love,
Marilyn
